QR code generator
A QR code for a link, text, email or phone. Download it as PNG or SVG.
Type something and the code appears.
PNG for screens, SVG for print.
These codes don't expire and nothing tracks them. A lot of free generators hand you a short link pointing at their own server, so the code stops working when they change their pricing — and they see every scan. This encodes your address directly into the pattern. There is nothing in between, which is also why it can't tell you anything about who scanned it.
Print it big enough. A rough rule: the code needs to be about a tenth of the distance it's scanned from. Two metres away means roughly 20cm across. Keep the pale border — scanners use it to find the edges, and codes cropped tight to the pattern are the most common reason one won't read.
Use the SVG for anything printed. It's drawn from maths rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. The PNG is for screens.
Codes are error-corrected at level M, which means roughly 15% of the pattern can be damaged or covered and it will still read. That's what makes a logo in the middle possible — though nothing here does that, because how much you can safely cover depends on the code and getting it wrong fails silently.
